It’s that time again folks (I saw as if I actually consistently post my wrap ups, oops) for a monthly wrap up!
November may have well been my best reading month of all time. I started working this month and all I do is sit at a desk from 8-5 so I’m taking full advantage of that by listening to audiobooks (and a TON of podcasts).
I first went through Scribd and listened to some audiobooks, until I found out that their “unlimited listening” service is actually false and they cut me off from listening to any audiobooks after I finished the 4th one. SO i moved on to Libby and listened to some on there!
I did also read some physical copies as well though 🙂
Starting off November I finished P.S I Still Love You by Jenny Han! I’m really loving this series and looking forward to reading Always and Forever Lara Jean!
Next, The first audiobook I listened to was Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli! This one was really disappointing to me. I think I’m going to be a little hesitant in reading any new Albertalli books if there are any coming, the most recent ones I read I didn’t enjoy much.
Third, Maybe In Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid! If you know me you know I am obsessed with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I was so excited to read some other books by Taylor Jenkins Reid! I loved this one and can’t wait to get into some of her others 🙂
An ARC that I had received in August but hadn’t gotten around to reading until now was Broken Things by Lauren Oliver. This book was such a pleasant surprise! I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did but I truly enjoyed this a lot. This was also the first Lauren Oliver book I have read so maybe I will look into reading some of her others!
There is a book that I have had in the back of my mind for a LONG time. I think I had a friend who had read this one in high school and mentioned it to me one day and since then I had wanted to read it but it was never at the top of my list so I just never did. Thanks to audiobooks I finally got around to reading it hahaha. that book is: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart! I also really enjoyed this. It’s not too long and kept me intrigued the whole way through. I love a good twisty thriller-y book so this was right up my alley.
ok ok im talking too much im gonna get through the next few without babbling.
I finished An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson which was another enjoyable read! I kinda skimmed the end, I could definitely have payed more attention to it, but the first half was fantastic and the world building was A+
I don’t know why I listened to this audiobook, but I guess I thought it was a good idea at the time because it’d so short: Night of Cake and Puppets by Laini Taylor. No, I have never read any of the books in this series. No, I really don’t know why I spent time reading this. I also really don’t have anything to say because I have no idea what the context for this was… so… moving on!
I listened to my favourite audiobook of all time this month: Sadie by Courtney Summers! GuYS… this audiobook is SPECTACULAR. It really is so so well produced. PLEASE do yourself a favour if you plan to read this book and check out the audiobook. Oh, and you should read the book, because it’s fantastic.
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer gets a brief mention here because it’s not usually what I read. But I loved the movie so I decided to read the book. It was not bad, but very different from the movie. If you are into adult sci fi check it out!
On to the last three:
For Every One by Jason Reynolds: Super short, inspiring, everything I wanted it to be and more.
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon ADORABLE. I LOVED IT. I cannot wait to read more of her books. It was a ton of fun and the characters were fantastic.
Want by Cindy Pon. I am SO glad I finally read this one. I had almost bought it in stores so many times but for some reason never did. This was so so good guys. Super relevant and the character development is crazy good. I am STOKED for the sequel AHHHH.
Phew. that’s it! I read an insane TWELVE books in November!! I don’t think ive ever read more than like 4 or 5 books in one month before. Shoutout to audiobooks.
Let me know if you had an highlight reads this month and/or if you’ve read any of these that I listed!!
