I Finally Read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone! (REVIEW)

I did it! I’m finally reading Harry Potter and I LOVED the first book! I always knew I’d love them but there was just something holding me back from reading them. I missed the prime age to read them, probably because I was so busy reading Warriors, and just never picked them up.

I bought the first book at a used book store, and got through it in a few days. Everything I ever loved about the movies, are in the books, with so much more. You get a deeper insight into all the characters and their thoughts and I can’t wait to meet all the characters I loved in the movies but never saw enough of (like Luna, and Ginny)

The story was written beautifully, with a bunch of little hints into whats to come in future books, and LOTS of magic, which I was definitely looking forward to. I really can’t say enough about J.K Rowling’s writing, I know some people aren’t a fan but I really am. She writes the genre perfectly.

I really do wish now that I read this as a kid, but I am grateful to get a chance to experience this story for the first time, as I believe many people wish they could do again. Im savoring every word of it, and taking my time with it.

I picked up the 2nd book at the used book store again, and it’s sitting in my TBR pile, Ill probably read it in a few weeks time 🙂
